No player should be risked starting a game to possibly further aggravate a current injury (if not fully fit) no matter how big the game is.
I agree up to a point. But very few players are fully fit at this time of the season. Walker and Cancelo are fast enough to play wingback but Jesus and Zinchenko?Could it be a back 3 of Dias, Laporte and Ake with Jesus and Zinchenko as wing backs?
We can get away with 1 medium paced fullback (Kyle’s fast enough to get back as required) but surely not 2?

Cancelo is suspended for this game.Walker and Cancelo are fast enough to play wingback but Jesus and Zinchenko?

My point was that a pairing of Jesus & Zinchenko as wingbacks wouldn’t cut the mustard - in reply to a bloke who though we should do just that with Cancelo out and maybe Walker too.
If Walker and Stones are out we’ll be distinctly short of mustard cutting equipment, although I’ve never understood the concept of cutting mustardI know that (of course).
