Insanity work-out

Would this be Beneficial for women? I don't have that much weight to lose, but would like to tone my stomach, arse and thighs.

on the work out video its a mixed class, so yeah. I would recommend looking on on youtube and make your decision on that, there are plenty of girls on there that have done it with good results.

I am not that sure about this sort of thing, just go to your gym and tell them what you want to achieve and let them work a set of exercises for you, far to many people become fixated on one thing or another, a good combination of strength and cardio work is all most people need, and commitment to train, 3 or 5 times a week, it works wonders

A few of the guys do insanity at the fire station they set up a TV and get the mats out in the pump bay. To the untrained eye it looks quite easy at first but my god when that hour is up there are pools of sweat on the floor. As mentioned its a 50/60 minute that burns approx 1000 cals. That might not seem much but i had to run over 10 miles last week to burn that many cals.
What station you at mate?

Haha.....they always reckon you should try a couple of samples at least though before a final decision. Bit like paint 'testes'.....sorry....testers.

Sorry that's the other thing "Burning Calories" all exercise will do this, but very rarely enough to make you lose much weight (the amount of overweight people I see in the gym who just do cardio work proves this)

Strengthen the muscles and you will burn more calories in your day to day activities

Hi mate, been there done it. I asked for a work out programme at my local gym and did it for months and gained very little. Also at times I was waiting about for machines. See I only can go at certain times of the day. It may work for a lot of people but not me it didnt fit into my life style. This on the other hand is perfect for me. Im not daft enough to think its for everybody but when you work 6 days a week 8:30 to 7pm most evenings then it fits in perfect.

HIT and NEAT is where I'm at now and sorting ones posterior chain. Plyometrics is good exercise, not seen Insanity, will have a look out. Stopped paying for gym so not gonna fork out 2 tonne for it though. Might just watch the video through the OPs window whilst doing the workout on the lawn.

Listen to what FantasyIreland says.

He knows much more about this stuff than me or you. You can't go far wrong if you read and take on-board what he says on fitness.

Wow,i appreciate your recommendation Damo, however, while i still train hard and posess a good knowledge on the topic,i'm somewhat of a shadow of my former self these days, subsequently forgetting much along the way unfortunately....... Saying that i'm more than happy to lend a hand or offer help where i can.

My best advice - train hard and consistently but keep it simple and don't forget - Diet is the key!
