one good thing the GPC was good at was inventing reasons for his players not to travel,players like De Bruyne would make the world 11 team so no reasons for him to travel to a meaningless freindly
 
not wanting to be doom and gloom but this international break has the potential to derail our season if players (a) have to quarantine when they return..
(b) pick up injuries.
(c) end up getting coronavirus ..
all hypothetical but possible nevertheless ..

They can’t go if it’s to somewhere that requires them to quarantine on their return - hence Mahrez not playing in Algeria’s first match.
However, I agree that it’s an unnecessary nuisance & I wish they’d been postponed. Wonder who dippers & rags will keep back

Indeed be interesting to see if some players suddenly develop mystery injuries ...
