Invasion of Germany

7 piss heads from Lancaster and Morecambe will be in attendance, would have been 8 but I'm too busy at work!

For a meet up point, this is where lots headed to last time, has a large hall and a beer garden; though the garden may not be the best place at that time of year <a class="postlink" href="http://www.augustinerkeller.de/en.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.augustinerkeller.de/en.htm</a>

Also, many other bierkellers are listed on this site... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/munipubs.htm#augkell" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/munipubs.htm#augkell</a> so if anyone has been to any of the others and can recommend, please post links....

Yeah that's not a bad place but as you say, probably not a good place to sit out for a beer weather wise. Plus there's nothing much else close to it pub wise. If I was going again id get to Marienplatz (sp) plenty of bars and indoor beer gardens in that area.

the augstiner near the train station has got a big beer garden its also quite big inside there is a beer keller down stairs they do the same food as the one in the main square (marienplazt). on the day of the game not sure if they will let us in the marienplazt it will be full of Bayern fans we were there last December when they where playing Monchengladbach and it was bouncing from dinner time for us that are staying at the eurogrand and the winters hotel its a good place to have a drink before heading off to the centre

The Augustiner is a good beer garden for match day I suppose but having been twice to Munich ( I went to the Audi cup as well as the c/l) you're pretty much stuck to drinking the steins, which is great if you've not been before. I just preferred to hit Marienplatz as there's more bars and there was a wider range of beer to try.

What do you mean by more wider range of beer? I'm mainly a cider guy but if there is nothing but larger then I'm screwed<br /><br />-- Sun Nov 10, 2013 2:08 am --<br /><br />
