Yes. Berchtesgaden is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. Get yourselves to the eagles nest, (Hitler House) Königsee and see if you can get to an Alm (wooden hut) for typical Bavarian hospitality, with real fire, Schuhplattler dancing, bavarian food and drink. Have to love Bavaria.

Anyone know what kind of metro ticket is best?
I'm thinking airport-train station, then something that allows travel around the city for a couple of days, and back to airport.

Depends how many of u there are. They do a three day travel card for up to five people for all zones inc the airport €53 between you, there's only two of us buts it's still the cheaper option

We just got ours and has everything you described. Ours cost €24.60 though. It's a mvv ticket but speak to someone at a station if you're not sure sorting yourself.

Varies from pub to pub. Some of the bierkellers don't like football colours.
