Inverted wingers

Yes, I am amazed at how many professionals are so one footed. I used to get guffaws when I was one footed playing park football. I learned after a fashion to use my left, not too difficult. A pro has all week to get his weaker foot up to speed.
Very true. And an alarming amount of footballers can’t head a ball.

Could you imagine how good footballers, and football in general, would be if they were all adept with both feet and were skilful at heading?!

I thought we looked a lot more likely to score when Torres came on. A right winger going outside the full back, imagine that. What is making it worse is Cancelo playing left back, his first touch is to open himself up to pass it back inside. Opposition can just shuffle over and keep in shape.

As for Mahrez I would make him train only using his right foot. Every time he uses his left fine him £10k, the very best players in the world would not be taking a touch to get an opportunity with their stronger foot like he did in the first half, the shot would have been off straight away.
Who would have thought a right footer on the right cutting the ball back into a dangerous area instead of crosses coming in in the air from the wrong angle to give the centre halves heading practice. Sort it out Pep it’s not rocket science.

Inverted wingers aren’t an issue if they are direct with the ball and make runs in behind ie Son, Mane, Salah, Rashford, Mbappe and so on. Our wingers cut back and play 2 yard passes and always offer to feet that’s the problem

This seems to have become the first option again. Granted, Mahrez has had some great games this season, but to me we are way more dangerous with Foden on the left and Sterling on the right.

how many times did we play like that in the last 22 games?, after a defeat people rake up some absolute bullshit, put our chances away, dont give goals away after 30 seconds and everything would be fine, not some mumbo jumbo about inverted wingers, pep got it wrong, or kdb is suddenly not good enough to get in the team, its all bollox, we had a bad day at the office, we couldn't put away our chances and weve got our giddy forward trying to tackle in the box after 30 seconds.

nothing wrong with the team yesterday, just the players fucking up.
