Invincibles next

There are much bigger achievements to aim for than an unbeaten league season:

- If we win the FA Community Shield, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA World Club Cup and the EFL Cup next season, City will be the first ever English club to do the Grand Slam.

- If we win the Premier League next season we will be the first ever English club to win four in a row.

- If we win the Champions League next season we will be the first ever English club to win it back-to-back since it became the CL.

Besides, going unbeaten doesn’t mean we’d win anything. Arsenal got 90 points in their ‘Invincibles’ season. That would only have won the league twice in the last seven Prem seasons.
We're always slow starters in the CS but there's a possibility we could hold all 7 (seven) trophies available to us by the end of February.

Just imagine that team photo.

Whilst I never like to see us beaten this is the least impressive achievement of so many. It can be achieved by gaining a higher points total & still win fck all.

Meh ….

Has any team ever won all their league games in a season? If not that can be our new goal.
Definitely never been done in this country. Abroad, I’m not sure, but it would be colossal in the EPL.

Rangers (Scotland) 18 matches (1898/99)
Racing Club (Argentina) 13 matches (1919)
Ferencvárosi (Hungary) 22 matches (1931/32)
Dresender FC (Germany) 23 matches (1942/43)
Sunrise Flacq United (Mauritius) 22 matches (1995/96)
Nactional (Uruguay) 20 matches (1941)

Six times then. KF Tirana nearly made it to the list with a 17-1-0 record in 1937.

I suppose it’s not so difficult in a 7 club league

And such a small number of games for most of them.

Shamrock Rovers only did it unbeaten in a 10 team league because of lockdown cutting the season short after everyone played each other twice, when it's normally four times each.

Cannot ever see it happening in a decent league.
