IPTV

Do any of the iptv providers offer the option to choose the EFL game you watch, like you get if you subscribe to Sky Sports? My mate's doesn't. Now while it's no big miss this stage of the season (er; according to him), come february/march time, when teams are pushing for promotion/playoffs/ avoiding relegation, it'd be handy to have access to that. Problem is, there's no red button facility on a firestick, which I believe is how you access the service via Sky.
Yes Jim, mine does.
As well as the usual menus for sky, tnt etc, it also has a menu with all the English teams listed. Basically you click on the team you want, and if they're playing, it will auto find a feed. So you don't need to know what channel your game is on.
Also listed are European Cup teams, fa cup etc.

A guy I know who’s recently invested in a box, has been advised by his provider that he may wish to consider buying a VPN.

Do we think it’s really necessary? He reckons that without one, internet providers can tell you’re up to no good and will slow down your connection to make streaming difficult.

Are they going to that trouble for sole users watching maybe a few hours TV a day? Or is it only really necessary for people running some kind of operation?
I had sky tv and sky broadband for about 10 years no issue. Cancelled sky tv and kept the broadband and got iptv, within about 3 months of having iptv my broadband speed was so poor I couldn’t stream anything with it and then sky cancelled it mid-contract without any contact and sent me a letter saying they couldn’t guarentee my broadband speed and I’m free to leave no charge, Coincidence? Maybe.

Have you tried using a VPN, even for a trial period? I thought that UK based ISPs were told to block/throttle IPTV traffic, however a VPN hides that from them.
I’ve a VPN and I use IPTV on a fire cube provided by a local businessman. Very occasionally when football streams haven’t worked I’ve found a Spanish channel, set my VPN to Madrid & hey presto perfect picture. Most of the time the IPTV works fine tbf.

I recently invested in a 4K fire stick and a family friend suggested that a colleague of his installed Planet TV and RDTV for him and it’s been great. So I took him up on his offer - I have already contracts for Sky and BT but I’m fed up with trying to watch our 3 o clock kickoffs on shit streams.
This weekend I put on the Bournemouth match - for half an hour on Planet TV we had a great picture but no sound (which is fine)- then the sound came on and the picture was buffering about once a minute. At half time I exited Planet TV and then couldn’t log back in - internal server error. We found a stream on RDTV for the second half which was fine. Today I tried watching the Rags/Chelsea game on RDTV and it’s completely unwatchable- the sound is two minutes ahead and every 5 minutes the match goes on fast forward mode to catch up.

I’m guessing this isn’t normal as there are many posters on here who have good experiences. My router is BT fibre and is a decent connection-the fire stick is 12 inches from the router. This cost me £60 which is for a year’s subscription plus installation. There’s plenty of good films on both apps but I really only bought it for the football.

I don't understand the payment of subscriptions. I recently got an T95Z Android Box on an Amazon Deal for £30 and it streams all the footie & films you could want using freely available apps. My understanding is it's legal providing you don't download content from unauthorised sites. You need a decent broadband connection of course but no VPN required.

Have you got a VPN installed on the stick? If you have and it was still crap, get a new "supplier".

Can you let us all know what apps are on it to enable you to watch, say the footy. ta

Who decides what films are added to the movie section, can your supplier pass on requests or is there something you can do yourself.

With my supplier, if there's something you want added that's not there you just msg him, and if it's available he sticks it on. I've never done it myself but I know people have because you can read the request thread once you get access.
