Are you missing the part where Israel retaliated to October 7th by decimating a huge chunk of the Palestinian state, along with tens of thousands of innocents including women and children? Reaction isn't above Israel. This is what they wanted from Iran, which is why they bombed the consulate. Israel want this to escalate.
