Israel attack kills Iranian guy.
Iran needs to demonstrate strength.
Warns Israel of rocket and missile attack.
Attack is easily defended, Iran demonstrates strength internally.
Israel demonstrates strength internally.
Israel's allies demonstrate support.
Nobody loses face.
Hopefully allows peaceful phase, until the next time.

While I agree with the sentiment of this. The risk of massive regional escalation was too much of a risk to have not got involved I fear.

It's an Israeli mess, let them sort it out. I don't want our people out there dieing for Isreal.
I do agree with the sentiment but They were at most firing rockets at drones. Not flying over enemy territory or directly engaging enemies combatants.
But If this conflict expands we probably would be directly involved in a big way. By intercepting them we were doing our part to try to prevent that expansion that would be a far bigger threat to us.
