The cause of that air crash was known pretty quick. Normally, even if the cause is suspected they don't state a certain cause straight away so obviously either they know the real cause or they're trying to diffuse a situation pdq.

I can’t believe it was just a coincidence. They’ve shot it down. I flew over Iran 4 days ago, I was thinking some planes could be targets, especially ones heading back to the UK or the States.

Seen the video of it on the way down, was on fire doesn't look like it was shot down. Just an extreme coincidence, rip the poor souls on board.

If they have shot it down then I suspect it would have been by mistake. Iran have no reason to target a Ukaraine jet.

It does however seem a coincidence when this has happened and it is not only unusual that a cause is being put to the media so soon after the accident but a single engine failure should not result in a crash.

What was it shot down with an AK? If it was a missle it would have fell apart in the sky. Still though for a 737 to have dual engine failure is extremely unusual.

Half the passengers were Iranians. If it was shot down, it certainly won't have been a targeted attack.

Looks like the Iranian 'Response' is a glorified foot stamping display, qualified by them saying they don't want escalation.
I don't think there will be any war, with the bonus of the biggest cause of conflict in the region now spread over most
of it.
