Where have you been for the last half century or even the last year? Iran and many other countries in the region have been engaged in war and proxy war within the region for decades.

This isn't about the plight of a lovely peaceful country vs the big bad US, it is about whose side are you on and there is no good side unless you consider war a good thing.

Irrespective of future plans, the general the US killed was responsible for the deaths of thousands and one of those deaths included an American last week.

There are repercussions for actions and Iran has paid the price.

If they go on from this to cause more trouble then the potentially equally damaging reaction will only be their own fault.

Because it is a hypocrisy, you are just ignoring the fact that there are evils on both sides.

Iran are just as much responsible for the deaths of thousands, they have supported the Syrian war in tandem with Russia, and Yemen War which alone are both responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths.

You can't excuse the US from pulling out of the nuclear deal and destabilising the region but can you therefore excuse Irans response of violence?

It might be a 'lovely' country but the regime there has always taken a destabilising, confrontational and violent approach to regional matters.

Typical viewpoint of someone who hates the West unreservedly, without objectivity.

Britain has made a whole host of mistakes in the Middle East but haven’t participated in the purposeful slaughter of innocent people, forming militias that ignore the Geneva Convention.

Britain’s main party doesn’t threaten to wipe another sovereign country off the face of the planet and have mushroom clouds as it’s emblem.

Britain doesn’t participate in religious extremism.

Western intervention has been a mess and Britain has played a part in making the situation worse, don’t for a second claim that any British General is on a par with this murdering animal.

It is possible to criticise Britain in the Middle East and not defend the Iranian leadership, who are brutal tyrants that engage in terrorising the general population in more than one country, including backing internationally recognised terrorist groups.

The comparison is absurd but not surprising, given the fact these views ended up leading the Opposition of this country.
