Ireland and Bellamy's clubs on 01/09/10

Some good guesses but nobody quite got them both right. We're rubbish.

Gotta laugh at those posters who think Ireland will be at the likes of Villa and Sunderland. Unless there is an absolutely huge about face by City, and by Ireland himself, and if the top tier clubs who want him drop out of the race, then maybe, there's a 1% chance he could end up at one of those clubs...

That's a bit unfair. I think Billy was right in as much as Ireland didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about joining Villa and clearly was railroaded into it to an extent.

Railroaded perhaps but I think Villa is about as good as he could of expected if he wants to play week in week out. We wouldn't have let him go to Scum or Spuds which leave Dippers, Arse, or Chelski above Villa in terms of league finish last year, he's not good enough to get in at either of the London clubs which leaves Souse who won't buy a midfielder for 5+ until they sell either Babbel or Mach.

Obviously Ireland wanted to stay and fight for his place but management said he wasn't required and felt Milner had more to offer us now.

Again time will tell if we made the right decision but you have to think that Ireland's opportunities would have been limited in anycase.

Likewise Bellamy didn't feature in our plans and only time will tell if we miss his presence this season.
