yes i did u 'tit' but you need to chill out abit, its abit of fun and hopefully johnson will turn his life around but being 'injured' for over a year isnt good enough for me.
Players don't choose to be injured. I have known people getting seriously depressed through injury.

You should seriously think before you post your ill thought out comments

exactly a man city forum is for the team not against it or its players yeah if the had a bad game say they had a bad game but when one of OUR players is having a bad time in his personal life try and get behind them as proven our club and players read this forum

will some people relax, im sure johnno isnt crying into his stella reading this. it was a simple joke and compared to some of the threads that have been against him on here it is pretty minimal. I'll support him whatever and i love johnson hes a quality player and it was a cheeky tongue in cheek comment but dont get into his personal problems I can only dream of having a BAD time earning thousdands of pounds a week and being 'injured'

People slagged me to death and even some claimed i knew fuck all about football when defending Stevie to the hilt.

I always knew he would come out on top, great players do.

Your not the only one fella i got loads of abuse for sticking up for Ireland. To this day though it baffeles me how opinion was so divided about Ireland. Christ when Ireland played really well we had a thread acknowledging it on here but at the same time there would be another thread slagging him of to the hilt about the same match WTF was that all about.

And for all you cunts that think it was right to criticise him, well it wasn't criticising him that was a problem it snowballed into a fucking hate campaign against the lad. Fuck if the world had of stopped turning at the time it would of been Ireland's fault according to some of the cunts on this site.

Now look what Arsenal fans did to Ade, them cunts started a hate campaign similar to what Ireland what was getting (lazy doesn't try enough blah blah blah) and look what fucking happened. The lad hates there fans with a passion gets a bug up his arse comes to us and fires us right up the table. That could of so easily happened with Ireland if things had of happened slightly differently.

I'll admit it there were times under Erikson where I was wondering why the hell Ireland got picked over Geovanni time and time again because Ireland was so inconsistent... but he completely changed my opinion on him in 08/09.... completely!

In my opinion he now turned out to be THE number one City player, yes we spent millions on Adebayor, Tevez, Robinho etc. ... but it is Ireland who I like the most, I feel like he is the heartbeat of the team.

Some of the stick was out of order, although to be fair i think i even offered to drive him up to Sunderland. He was class last season. Stats wise he was up there with the very best midfielders in the league whilst playing for a team that was mid-table. It shows you how good he was.

I hope he comes back on and reads this thread so he knows how much everyone loves him now.

I hope to fucking god Caceido didn't read the forum last season

The (super) man is a credit to himself and us , forget his undoubted talent which he has in abundance but his work rate and complete professionlism is beyond compare. So he used to support the evil empire when he was a kid but he has seen the light and good luck to him, he deserves success, ...... with city of course

Shame Superman didn't see any of my posts. I always supported the lad and knew he'd come good, although not as quickly and as brilliantly I admit!

He needs to bear in mind that a lot on here are knee jerk reactionaries with limited footballing knowledge.

Evening Beadle ;)

I'm very glad you're still here, if you're reading :D

...

All Ric needs to do is resurrect the PHPBB2 board (that died August 08) and we can revisit some of those old posts.

I can't say I never criticised Stevie. On the other hand, I'd like to be able to show you all now any of the bi-weekly threads declaring Stevie to be utter rubbish. Sorry guys, the Stevie-in brigade comprised me and FDM [latterly immaculate pasta], and only a couple of others, to my vague recollection.

So, he went through entire games passing only to opposition shirts... He was dropped in before he was ready, because we didnt have the likes of SWP or Tevez to play on the right, so a youngster who wasn't completely ready got the nod, in a position which, it transpires, was not one that was suited to him.

The way that he was written off entirely as a useless player baffled me. When the young lad was scoring the goals he did against Reading and Sunderland, demonstrating technique that you just don't see from British players, and then Elano (I think) talked about the best player in training being SI... yet to read the scutter poured out on here you'd think he was born with two left feet. It was a lesson then, it's a lesson now. Learn well.

Don't agree; there were far more on here supporting him against the neanderthals than you say, goat boy; including me and quite a few others. It certainly wasn't the two guys against the Alamo you represent it as. The nasty posts and threads (and there were loads) were all from the boo boys, though, including the " I will drive him up to Sunderland" ones! And that after he'd had a pretty good season under Sven, imo, including the fine goals you mention.

I remember Micah saying the two players everyone wanted on their side in training were Stevie and Elano, as no-one could get the ball off them; Elano doubtless said similar; skill admires skill after all.

I was gonna say that you were one of the posters who really stuck up for him and I doff my cap to you, sir.

Blowing my own trumpet here, I never doubted Ireland at all.

Projectriver was his worst critic if I remember correctly.
