Unfortunately Mancini, along with many posters on here, think he simply can't cut the yellow stuff. The irony is if Ireland was as mecurially talanted as you seem to believe he is he'd be playing evedy fucking game. he's not and so he isn't.gio's side step said:You highlight the point I made myself. The reason he is, is because Villa and Millner are more professional than we are regarding the issue. Ireland is good enough and would have been certainly involved in first team training for fck sake had he not stalled over the move to Villa.
You demonstrate no flaw whatsoever. Just because you, Mancini and some others on here think he isnt good enough, doesnt mean I have to agree. Thus it doesnt make my opinion flawed just because it differs. I think you lack football intelligence if you wish to over simply the issue by suggesting he cant cut the stuff based on perception from sporadic games last season. I say sporadic, because he played in different positions, at different periods of games, and different games entirely. He certainly wasnt given the opportunity to regularly play in his best position. I am not defending the performances where he was extremely quiet, nor I am suggesting he isnt a player who certainly needs to feel confident and wanted. However, your points about him not being good enough, I dont agree with. I think Mancini is within his rights of course for Ireland to not be part of his formation or first team plan, we certainly play a different way now, however, I still think Ireland has tremendous ability and if utlised correctly and consistently, can still be a top player. I dont mind disagreeing at all in our analysis. However just because we disagree doesnt mean my opinion is flawed
