Heres a player who adores City and their fans and wears our shirt with pride, and hes treated like shit. We've shelled out 20 odd million, plus Stevie. Absolute joke of a decision and makes us look like fucking idiots. I just hope Stevie doesn't think he wasn't appreciated here at City 'cause he really was. Good luck pal, you got fucked over, and its becoming a fucking regularity.

Rant over, on with supporting Milner and the team.

yes he wore his shirt with pride and he adored City....but thats where it ended....

IF HE HAD PLAYED TO HIS FULL POTENTIAL EVERY GAME HE WOULD STILL BE HERE.. How many more times .......please !!

Re: Treatment of Ireland

Yeah let's have players who adore City and their fans and wear our shirt with pride so much better than going for players that give the team the ability to play at the top level.

Re: Treatment of Ireland

What was the point of keeping him? We'd only hinder his progression as a player. He wasn't going to get playing time, this is what's best for the club and the player.

If he had actually performed under Mancini, he would not have left.

You weren't saying that this time two years ago when he was on the verge of signing for Sunderland. I remember half the people on here offering to drive him up there! He then had one fantastic season but we haven't seen anything else from him.

Wasn't I? Got any proof of that mate. He had a bad season, and he got pushed out. I'm not liking some of our fans mentality nowadays.

From a purely sentimental point of view I'd love to still have Nedum, Ireland and Bellamy at the club. Nedum was one of my favourite players for City 'cos he was Blue through-and-through. Unfortunately they aren't good enough to make our 25 man squad so we let them move on and play first team football elsewhere. What's the problem?

What does this mean ?

If we had a squad of these type of players some fans would be well chuffed although we would be playing championship football if we did.

Re: Treatment of Ireland

Grow a pair of nuts OP, get your rose tinted specs off, Ireland couldn't care less about City, once a Rag Always a Rag. I personally look forward to seeing him fail at Villa, then again he'll probably get carried by Petrov and Young and the media will make out that he's a superstar, like they've done with Dunne when he's been carried by Collins and Warnock for the last year.

You mean it's becoming a regularity that the manager decides a player isn't good enough to do the job he's supposed to be doing?

Glad to hear i tbh.

He was never given a chance. He was always going to be through the door whatever happened. He should have been given a decent amount of games. Just wait till he finds his form at Villa. Stevie will have the last laugh.

He wasn't or isn't good enough he had one good season, his head just never seemed right to me (prob cos he believed his own hype) I'd of driven him to Sunderland no problems!

Re: Treatment of Ireland

Milners had a decent season. What happens if his form dips? We get rid of him and go for someone else who had a decent season?

Ireland is the better player. But thats doesn't matter anymore, hes gone and Milners in.

I wish my employer would treat me just as badly.

And I am very pleased with the transfer, the terms of which you have got wrong, but never mind. The players are pampered and it's the club that comes first.
