that written interview doesn't even document his comments on our youth team and how they apparantly strut about with a thousand watches on thier arms.

This coming from the guy that had one good season and far more tasteless cars - not to mention his fucking fish tank. Or wig.

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

I have always been ambivalent about Ireland. In my view he is a talented player but hugely inconsistent. Had he stayed that would have been great as he would have been a useful squad player. However he's gone and that's that.

His comments are quite understandable. He is not a City fan he is a professional footballer. All of us who have played team sport know the frustration of sitting on the bench. It pisses you off and sometimes you hope that your replacement has a bad game. Ireland is just being honest here. Big deal.

We now have a fantastic midfield. Milner, Yaya and Silva are all great players and more importantly consistent. Stevie is not a City player any more. He's moved on. Can we move on as well.

Re: "I was neither happy or sad if we lost."

I really can't understand Ireland saying that ........

i'd like to think that if i'd come through the ranks at a club then i'd have a bit of feeling for it , and especially for it's supporters ....... but to say you felt neither 'happy or sad' if the side lost would suggest that he didn't possess the depth of feeling for this club that he should have had ....... even from the bench!

We have ex-players like Dickov and Goater saying that they still love the club , yet here we have Ireland saying that he felt like this whilst he was STILL HERE?

Not good , in my eyes ..... and if that's the case then maybe it's best that he did leave.

Ireland Speaks Out

Hang on... Ireland having a go at youngsters for splashing the cash?

The same bloke that spent £160k on an aquarium and got custom monogrammed seats is talking about others being big time Charlies. Well fuck me dead.

Right - off to burn last years home shirt with number 7 and Ireland on the back.

And we all thought Bellamy would be the one to slag us off.
