Only fully watched england’s first group match of the euros, and half of the second. Prior to that, hadn’t seen any of the international games for a while.

However, just the little in this game is probably what people have been asking for years. Sure, they may not end up being the best but some of the stuff this evening has looked good which I can’t say about them for the past couple of years.

Two things

First I am in and out of the room a bit but from what I’ve seen this is so much better than football under Southgate, proper pass and move, players joins up all over the pitch

Second why the fuss about Carsley not singing our national anthem? He’s not English. Sven was one of the nicest blokes ever in football, he wasn’t English and as far as I recall he didn’t sing it; can’t remember any fuss
