I know all about the matchday thread. Believe me, I know. As I tried to clarify earlier, the style of play is a marked improvement on the summer, even allowing for the lack of quality of the opposition. Some of the opposition we struggled against in Germany weren't exactly top class, albeit they were better than this Irish team. Will the likes of Spain, Germany and France be quaking in their boots watching this? I doubt it, although France didn't look too clever last night.
