Probably. He picked a weird squad with so many wingers in the side and not many midfielders. Phil and palmer pulling out and bellingham missing doesn't give us much choice in midfidld unless he went with a Southgate-esque defensive lineup.

He's the only city player I wanted to get meaningful minutes, stones needs protecting to avoid the inevitable international injury and Rico doesn't need the minutes so already a marked improvement on waistcoat in my eyes.
