That happened this year. I am liking this academy plan. My whole point was in general. As of yet, I'm not aware of any home grown product produced by City, maybe bar Micah Richards. I've also been hearing City were interested in buying Sterling to fill the "home grown quota". I don't understand why City can't integrate a good Youth academy product onto the first team. Liverpool have done tremendous with this, they did with Sterling and now they are trying to do with Jordon Ibe and Jerome Sinclair. Even Chelsea are doing good with Ruben Loftus Cheek.

Liverpool are 7th in the league so their youth players don't need to be that good to get in the team. City brought through lots of youth players when 1st team standards were as high as they are now

I am confident we will bring youth players through. I'm also safe in saying that they'll probably be overlooked for some workhorse playing for Liverpool or United's 'next big thing'

The standard of football today was dire. Smalling was given the runaround by a Championship striker, the midfield could hardly string 2 productive passes together and the lack of attacking intent was pathetic

We could also look at a MCFC player starting for Belgium tonight while we're giving plaudits to Liverpool and Chelsea for the likes of Ibe, Sinclair and Loftus-Cheek.

Not an England fan, but I have to say that three are a few average footballers turning out for England nowadays, and Hodgson has them playing a very dire, predictable style of football. They are boring to watch, but as I said, I'm not an England fan, so it may just be me.

Not just you, i want England to do well, but i feel that is a lost cause. The 3 amigos at the back have trouble controlling their bodies, let alone the ball.
Henderson i'll just whack it as hard as i can. Rooney is completely shit these days, and that's not my anti rags feelings getting in the way.
We have no pattern of play, every fucker (Wilshire apart) is scared of the fucking football.

Can't say over the years i have seen a really good England vs Ireland match .
The best England vs Ireland matches were played in the late 70s and i don't remember them .
That was when Kevin Keegan was the star man for England !!!
