But if they extended it, it would be hard to argue against it though. He instigated it with his head in the first place, then got him on the second attempt, so it’s hard to say it was just a one-off moment of madness. He attempted it twice.

Ban Nunes for four games for multiple strike outs at the Palace lad but the Palace lad need a ban for the way he fell over after the headbutt the soft twat haha

It’s clear to see Nunes can’t handle a bit of usual Premier League hustle and bustle though, everyone’s going to be doing this to him from now on.

I'm not sure what you're watching but it looked like there was a fair amount of contact to me. I remember Lee Bradbury going down easily after a headbutt from Steve Vickers away at 'Boro and there was definitely less contact than that one last night. Either way, headbutting or attempting to headbutt players is inexcusable, regardless of how the other player reacts.

Watching it again, I've changed my mind. I originally voted 3, but it was a proper headbutt, not the usual soft head "push" which usually get you a 3 game ban anyway.

It was actual assault, and I think it deserves 5. I think he'll get 5 as well.

I’m not excusing it mate, nor am I saying it wouldn’t have hurt, but that was a comedy fall over from the Palace lad.

The nut was a very poor thing to do on a football pitch, something we don’t want to see in our sport, and he’ll rightly get a ban… but I’ve had worse off a kitchen cupboard door I forgot I’d left open and smashed my face into and I didn’t fall over like that.

What do the rules state on this?

For me its should be 4 matches

3 matches for the straight red and an added one for the fact that moments earlier he had also tried to headbut him and failed (causing the defender to then push him in the back which led to the second headbut).

The whole incident was provoked by Nunez's initial action.....he wasnt provoked as some have tried to state (Klopp included)

However as others have stated, they looked worse with him on the pitch so its a bit of a catch 22 situation!!
