This team and manager are awesome the only thing that worries me are bent officials
The curse is gone. We might have a chance after all...
For me, Newcastle not beating Arsenal yesterday has probably knocked any chance of our doing the treble on the head.
I thought we needed to win the league early to pull it off. The next three games will tell a tale, I suppose. Obviously, it's still possible but there's very little margin for error now. That's asking a lot, coming off the back of such a long winning streak.
I am inclined to agree. We shouldn't be considered failures by winning the double tbh, but the fact is, winning the leauge is commonplace to our club now.we need to win the CL. ideally this year. not sure we have what it takes, but the recent Arsenal game and Bayern at home those were incredible top top class performances. think we need two more of those vs Real and then in the final to win.
Chelsea won CL 2x under Abramovic since their 2004 takeover (within 17 years), basically in around same 15 years Mansour bought City.
Liverpool also won it 2x since 2005.
no fucking reason we shouldnt deliver the one with the big ears. when if not with Pep...
quite bad we never were able to give CL to the likes of Vinnie, Kun, D. Silva,Fernandinho lets not do the same with Gundo and KDB especially.
other than that imo media intentionally writing all these treble articles to beat us down once we lose to Real or maybe bottle the PL or ref cheats us out of the FA cup.
also if we manage to do the miracle they play it down as a minimum expected with this squad lol.
we will be the biggest failure and will have a bad season as per media if we win title and Fa cup but not the CL.
while United, Liverpool will all have decent seasons.
It's a question of seeing the glass half full or half empty, I suppose. Can’t agree with this at all and think it’s quite a poor analysis of the situation.
You say there’s little margin for error but we’ve only got 4 games left and can afford to even lose one of them. We can even draw 2 and still win it. If Arsenal draw just one match then we can even lose 2 of the 4 games. We’re in a absolute dream situation and one that looked impossible just a few weeks back.
Chelsea and Everton are two of the poorest sides in the league on form, and having won 10 league games in a row, we should have nothing to fear even if they’re near the Real Madrid games. We won our games around the Bayern fixtures after all.
If we get through the CL tie and those two games against struggling teams then we’ve got a completely clean run with us even being able to drop points in one of the last two games. Having it go down to the wire also keeps us ready for the final(s) since we’ll be in high gear right up until we need to be.
Like I say, a dream scenario.
Given the current score at Brighton full strength is a must. However, Dyche will set them out as dogs of war. Expect some leg breaking challenges and the pundits to egg em on to do it!Hope we go full strength vs Everton. PL is our bread and butter and currently most likely to win, most calculations seem to suggest we have a 90% chance.
I think CL anything can happen and we probably have around a 50% chance of winning it, when you factor in both semi and final.
FA cup probably 75% chance.
Combined, 90% x 50% x 75% = 34%
So for me, a treble is still firmly in the unlikely category and I wouldn't want to risk the PL with rotation etc.
I know however the club will be firmly in the all-out-CL camp, but I won't start dreaming about a treble until we get past Madrid.
Everton 3 up already v a good Brighton side!Hope we go full strength vs Everton. PL is our bread and butter and currently most likely to win, most calculations seem to suggest we have a 90% chance.
