This is true. Australia is 10-15 years behind the UK in terms of technology, culture, fashion etc etc. The cities are so provincial and the people are backward. They used to have the weather to fall back on.......but....

"Wog" is used here differently,its mainly used to describe Europeans,ie the Dutch are "clog wogs".
How long did you spend in Aus?

My boss is Italian..he's a 'wog'. I've explained how bad a word it is but they just laugh, because here it isnt said in the same vein.

Just to add to the meme.

We have established that the article was false and from there the thread turned into an opportunity to have a dig at Australia.

Fair enough, we're far from perfect but I would like to clear up a couple of things.

Firstly the word 'WOG' has no real negative meaning in Australia anymore.

I call some of my Italian/Greek friends Wogs sometimes.

They often call themselves that too. I have asked straight out if it is offensive in any way and every single one of them has said that it isn't.

That stupid idiot in the youtube clip is an absolute laughing stock in Australia, well she was until her 1 nano second of fame ended.

She represents Australians as much as some like, I dunno, The fat Boy George represents the English.
