You’ve either not read or misread my posts on the topic as my first response was to point out that rationing (of imported / out of season fruit & veg) brought health benefits to the nation.
So, if you want to go off on one then please take better aim.
Also, I didn’t post that anyone was getting type 2 diabetes etc from eating beetroot, I responded to you by pointing out that beetroot is high in sugar and if you ate predominately beetroot then you’d get the same health issues you get from eating any other high sugar / carb diet.
So no, I don’t know of anyone getting type 2 from overdosing on beetroot but if anyone did overdose on beetroot then that’s exactly what they’d put themselves at risk of.
I haven't misread anything. You responded to a post that fresh fruit and veg doesn't make people fat by claiming it does.
Which is obviously bullshit. In a world where most people get 90% of their simple carbohydrates from added sugar in processed food, refined grains, fizzy drinks, sweets etc. fresh fruit and veg is no one's enemy and rationing fucking rapsberries isn't going to solve the obesity crisis.
People aren't "getting fat off spuds and beetroot"like you laughably claimed.
