Is food rationing imminent?

It's bloody here now. Just been to Aldi lots of empty spaces, no eggs whatsoever. I heard bird flu, Brexit, delivery problems and it was pancake day yesterday so they sold more. The best thing is the manager has no idea when and if they are going to turn up in a delivery. He said sometimes a load turn up, another time none. How do you run a business like that?

Go on any French supermarket website and any fruit and veg is readily available. No restrictions.

Apparently Spanish and Morroccon producers are just prioritising their contracts with EU customers because they're so much bigger and older, and UK supermarkets that had to change suppliers post-Brexit are getting the short straw. Walked past my local market today and the guy had stacks of tomatoes. Waitrose has boarded up the whole section.

The really worrying this is that Brexit doesn't really start to affect the import of fruit and veg until January 2024. That's when things are going to really spiral.
