Good god - not been drunk for a good while but a long day on it yesterday and feel like death warmed up today.

Vowed not to get like this again! Gets harder as you get older.

I physically can't be doing it more than one night at a time any longer, at 58. But unless I have really caned it mixing grape and grain as they say, I get far less hangovers now than I did at 25.

That is the thing, I never mix the grain with the grape on a session, been too hammered by past experience to know better nowadays.

Always important to line ones stomach before drinking. I didn't have much shopping in due to being on holiday till Friday, so a bowl of Cheerios and a plate of tandoori mixed starter from friday nights takaway sufficed. On the beer all afternoon till gone 2am with nothing to eat eventually took it's toll, although standard strength lager is like fizzy lifting drinks (from the end scene of Willy Wonka film) to me.

I miss being in my 20s30s when the next day/week was never a consideration
