Is it correct that Bolton had their allocation increased

Bolton fans come from Bolton and a few small towns close to Bolton, City despite 100s of million pounds of foreign investment can only pull roughly twice the crowds of Bolton.

You're wasting your time bringing facts into it. Most of the people who post on here sound as if they only started going when the Arabs arrived.

Seen a lot of "since time began" made up bollocks from your lot.Not too many "facts."

What is particularly frightening about this thread is that a lot of our supporters have now become the very thing they once hated.

Classless, patronising and demeaning to any club that is smaller than ourselves.

Some of our supporters are starting to behave like rags!

the fact that your nobhead of a chairman gartside bumped the ticket prices up tenfold for our visit obviously didn`t have anything to do with it did it? for every sound wanderer who posts on here you get the stereotypical wanky wanderer......da dar!!!!!

christ, 21 pages and you lot are STILL banging on about crowds, it's like every West Ham, Wolves and (even) Burnley forum I go on

so let's go with the above

why is our chairman a nobhead, is it because he attends every home game, most away games and is Bolton through and through?

we put the prices "up" (as in categorise games) based on the opposition - name a team that doesn't??

wasn't there a few City fans who got upset when you multi billionaire owner put prices up at your place? I think they were expecting him to subsidise tickets, not increase the prices!

What I find strange is that when yonners support the rags or Liverpool they're accused of being glory hunters... yet when they support their local team they are accused of being small-timers!

Some City fans on here need to sort their heads out... there's nothing wrong with supporting your local team... I mean, isn't that why we take the piss of so many out-of-town rags?

I've listened to boring rags over the years quote average atendances, and how many trophies they've won... and all it did was make me hate the fuckers even more.

So to use the same arguments against Bolton and Stoke fans is leaving us wide open to the same accusation of arrogance. I'm all for banter, but we are fast becoming humourless...

is horwich in greater manchester? just as burnden park was? does that make you a manchester club? why can`t you fill the the breezeblock stadium? and you are sixth in the league? is that why you charge outrageous prices for away fans? do you know bury is your derby game? was you even born in the 80`s?

we also spent a good few years out of the top flight and at least 28k of the fans stuck by the club in the 3rd tier while our rivals utd were doing the treble..... and all the young kids went to support utd.

You spent ONE season in the Third Division. We spent a decade in the Third and Fourth Divisions.

'28K' didn't stick by the club in the late 80's though did they? From what i remember you were struggling to muster 19,500.

it's still more than you struggle to average tho isn't it.

Nobody can argue City have a pretty large support. But to overlook things like population and catchment area, other clubs around is just stupid. For example the Geordies are 1 particular example of this. Newcastle draw their support from basically all over the north east with the exception of Sunderland and Middlesbrough. They have few rivals really to compete with for support so naturally they should have a large support. When I said the population of Manchester was around 3 million I meant the rough estimate of places where the majority of people support United or City. For example if you walk round Chester you'll see a large amounts of supporters wearing United or City shirts. Both United and City have large amounts of supporters in other areas of the North West. For example Widnes and Runcorn are not part of Merseyside yet their mostly home to Liverpool and Everton fans. The big 4 in the north west City, United, Liverpool, and Everton all have large numbers of supporters in North Wales. Every club gets bigger attendances when they are doing well rather than doing shit as people don't want to waste £50 to watch their team get fucked.

touche

I'll stick around though if that's ok, I wouldn't normally enter a battle of wits with unarmed men but I have a soft spot where City fans are concerned

what does Yonner mean? I've heard Utd fans call us that too, but never had it explained

Mill Town inhabitant - with a small town attitude, bit like sheffield people saying people from Rotherham live in Toy Town or Scousers calling out of towners Woollie Backs
