Is it just me or do other blues do this?

You support ENGLAND on the day how that being a hypocrit ? That's bollocks! You think arsenal fans didn't cheer when Defoe scored for England to put us through at the world cup? Of course they fucking did!
Well FUCKING said! we are supporting England

No. I'm not a bitter twat. When someone plays for England they are playing for England, not Manchester United and England. Domestic football and international football are different entities completely. Why people can't see past their pathetic bitterness is beyond me.

Football players aren't who I support neither. Surely you aren't all so deluded that you think David Silva and Vincent Kompany give a shit whether it's us or anyone else they're playing for. Are you?! If Malaga had been taken over when we were and we were taken over when Malaga were, you all know that a lot of or lads would be at Malaga and we'd have van Niistelrooy and Baptista, and Silva, de Jong and everyone else would all be thinking 'City who?'!

It's the club or the nation I support, not the players. The players just happen to play for the team. But one day they'll all be gone and some never remembered ever again. But I'll still be there and so will my club and the national team.

its not about supporting the players ..... i said i was disapointed when young scored would of preferred it to be someone else, and i stand by my words when i said that i wished savic done a number on him and granny shagger.

watching england in the pub last night, when young scored... i wasnt exactly disapointed but he's a rag. also hoped savic would break the cunts legs.
rooney - also hoped savic dealt with him, and i smiled when he got sent off. and i was happy to see jones have a shocker.

just wondered if other blues do this or cheer for the vermin scum when the don the england shirt
i do 100%
how can you hate someone every week and then 1 day you cheer them on?
you are a hypocrite if you do plain and simple.
Hate. Why do you hate them? I don't hate them. I've never really hated any United players. Only Gary Neville and Roy Keane - I do truly hate them fuckers. But nobody else really. It's the fans I fucking hate and the club. The players are just the players who happen to play for them. One day we're singing songs about them in a dergatory way and then we're being hypocrites by saying how we love them because they play for us. Remember Tevez?! How can you hate him at 23:55 on a Friday then love him at 00:05 on the Saturday?! Now THAT is pathetic.

It's the fans that are the club. And Rags are pretty much all cunts. As a rule they don't support England, so I do the fucking opposite. Even if that wasn't the case I'd still support England because I'm English, no matter who plays for them.

I lol'ed when Rooney was sent off, but then again, I don't give a flying fuck about the England team. I'm English, but I have no feeling at all with them, except hoping the City players do well, but I hope that for every City playing representing their country.

I'm so not arsed about England, I don't even know last nights score and didn't even remember there was a match until I saw this thread!!

But I'm sorry for those of you who disagree, but I completely understand 'goatinho' where he says 'How can you hate someone every week and then 1 day you cheer them on?'. If like Tevez an enemy sees sense, denounces the Devil's Evil Empire and comes over to God's Blue side, then OK I can forgive and forget, but no I'm sorry I couldn't cheer an enemy on just because they're playing for England, especially as I hate international football outside of actual tournaments!! For me an enemy is for life, not just for domestic league football!!!

I wouldn't wish a Rag player even the slightest injury (Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Beckham, Ferdinand and Fletcher apart), so I couldn't go as far as wanting physical harm to come to any of them. I don't hate the Rags, I just seriously dislike them with every drop of blood in my body, with every inch of skin, with every bone, with every muscle and centimetre of sinew, with every thought I've had of them since I was 8 years old, with every breath I take and yeh I'd love to see their stadium burn to the ground, but I don't hate them.

If there is a red named in the England team i just don't watch the game. It's a pollution thing.

Same here; despite being English I have no support for the national football team because they are a perrenial let-down. I had the match on last night purely as background noise and only paid attention when Shrek got sent off and when Savic's beautiful cross was was turned in in injury time.

Another reason I don't 'support' England is because I'm sick of the of the same old drivel spewed by the media whenever a European Championship or World Cup comes round; they jump on the bandwagon of it being "our time"... no it's not - England will likely never win a major tournament again because they are just not good enough, simple as that!

Yeah, these posts pretty much sum up my view, I switched over to the Spain match after about 20 mins last night out of boredom. I find myself more concerned now that the City players escape injury rather than being bothered about the result.
