Can't really understand the attitude of the majority in this thread. When I'm watching England I'm watching as an England fan and it's irrelevant to me who the players play for at club level. I'll never forget the 1990 World Cup. I was on holiday in Rhodes and everyone was right behind the team. City, United, Arsenal, Liverpool, nobody cared, and it's only when England play that this happens. We should have won it that year imo.

This. I always put club rivalry aside when it comes to supporting England.

I would rather have City playing this weekend then a shite international, wouldn't you?

watching england in the pub last night, when young scored... i wasnt exactly disapointed but he's a rag. also hoped savic would break the cunts legs.
rooney - also hoped savic dealt with him, and i smiled when he got sent off. and i was happy to see jones have a shocker.

just wondered if other blues do this or cheer for the vermin scum when the don the england shirt

Not so sure about the last part.

Richards might replace Jones for the next game.

I would rather he get game time for England when it has little or no impact on City's next game.

as long as the city players play well I couldn't give a toss! back to the argument of rather city winning something over England, any day of the week for me!

I was happy Montenegro scored from Savic's cross and happy for their fans, ours are boring bastards.

Happy Rooney made a twat out of himself again.

And pleased we qualified.

That's a given. Just have the tournaments and bugger the rest. I don't see the point in qualifying campaigns, as it's always the same teams who get through anyway.

i do 100%
how can you hate someone every week and then 1 day you cheer them on?
you are a hypocrite if you do plain and simple.

Did you 'hate ' wayne rooney when he was at Everton, or Phil Jones when he was at Blackburn? Or has this 'hatred' started since they signed for Man United?
Does that mean you have never liked Tevez then? Every city fan hated him when he played for man united but after he started banging in goals for us, peoples opinions changed.
wasnt keen on rooney at everton as im not a great scouse lover but since he went to united his arrogance , cheating and all round behaviour has made me hate him so why the fuck i should cheer him on for england when he is clearly a knobhead and could have lost the game for england? when does he do anything for england? phil jones never hated him at blackburn , why should i? but now he plays for our biggest rivals again why the fuck should i cheer his name etc i just couldnt. some united players i hate some i dont but you would never get me cheering them. its just the same as the red cunts round here who boo every touch a city player gets. on the tevez subject course i liked tevez when he played for us, thats a stupid fucking question , but at united i never , why would i?
