Is it sad that...

I sit on my own, travel with others and meet up with mates at half time, but i like to concentrate on the game etc . Like someone else said you do get to know the folks around you too.

At least no one is there to bother you! I've been to most City games by myself and i don't mind in the slightest. Gives you more chance to soak up the atmosphere and concentrate on the match

don't be so soft lad, I travel up from the South to go to games on my own regularly!

Just go and enjoy it!

be careful bilbo, folks up around manchester dont like out of towners. Hope youve been working on the accent haha!!

Good on you btw, i've always had respect for those travelling long distances.

not at all.

your their watching the game.

it's not like your gonna be chatting to someone for 90 minutes is it?

i've never done a home game on my own, but i've done a fair few away, to be honest they were great days.

Not at all, I've been to loads of games on my own.

I sit with the missus now at home games but she doesn't go to all the aways (neither does my mate who sits on the other side of me) so last season I went to quite a few aways on my own including Kiev!!

I have travelled to many away game on my own but I actually enjoy it. Most City fans are salt of the earth so nearly everytime the person sat next to you will be a sound guy and you can have a good chat. And you get to know the people around you at home games anyway.

Plus, I like to travel back on my own as I can assess the game in my mind without my mates opinions.

The thing is once u choose to follow city you`re never really alone. In my experiance you can wave, chat to other city fans even go out of your way to strike up a conversation where as the reds don`t. I see us as one big family and i`m proud of that and take comfort in that knowledge.

now I'm no longer a season ticket holder it's virtually a certainty that when I go (home or away) I'll have a single ticket, even if I'm catching a lift from someone..

the last two or three home games I was in town to see I was sitting right next to two sweet grandmothers who were dye-in-the-wool City supporters. They struck up such ever so polite conversation with me, as they knew I wasn't normally seated there and they were curious about me. Then you guessed it, on the whistle I've never heard such a torrent of abuse and cursing coming from anyone sat immediately to my right, ah aaha ah.

I've gone to a few games on my own. Took a while for me to have the courage to do it, but it doesn't bother me anymore. Even better if you're sat near rowdy fans, just join in and sing your heart out like I do. I even got the old guy up next to me doing the Poznan at the last home game.
