Is it shameful what the FA are doing?

Same with our top two place - we could restart next season and finish 20th ;-) As I said - eaqually fair (unfair) to all. The league can't be preserved in some sort of stasis to restart where we left off as there are too many variables which make it a non-starter - player injuries/fitness, other comps starting/not starting (amount of games /rest), player contracts and the likes of Kun who i'd imagine have fucking off to spend time at home pencilled in their diaries for the day the season ended. That's just off the top of my head and I'm sure there are many more all teams will be messed up to varying degrees by this which is yet another un-level playing field cause by resumption. This season is a write-off, and apart from the grasp of money I don't see any other realistic motivation to salvage it. The virus like any natural disaster is just a thing we have to accept happened and move on, just as the world bungee-jumping championships had to be shelved after 9/11.
I agree with what you said but I was intrigued with that last statement?

I may be a bit simple but.... why mess up 2 seasons when only 1 ( hopefully) can take the hit? Many businesses will not be around after the virus issue is over. Those that are still here will have taken a massive hit, apart from supermarkets, why should football be different?
For me this season should be null and void and start next season with every team in the position they were at the start of this.
I know this is simplistic and there would be legal challenges from clubs but for me it is simple and fair. (Tin hat on after saying fair )
I think they are not accepting that are no rules now, this is a once in how many generations event, they are no different from any other business,if they voided this season it will cost money,it is costing every business money, they just have to suck it up,they are lucky in that as an industry they will survive, every club might not which is sad but that can't be helped,i am hoping they will put their efforts into trying to save clubs and planning for next season, whenever that is

The FA when it suits tell us they are responsible for all levels of the game right down to the grass roots international matches at all levels professional and amateur womens football etc etc.
But at the moment they are only concerned with two things - Liverpool fc and money.

Scenes in the UEFA and FA headquarters right now.

My experience of the FA is that they are purely a money making organisation. I applied to become head of womens development at my local FA. I had reffed womans football for 10 years and had managed to ref an FA Cup quarter final. When I asked for feedback as to why I did not get the job I was told that I had not really shown an interest in womens football previously. However, I later found out that it was given to a lad who had not reffed a game of any description for 12 years. I asked a lad i knew really well at the FA how this could be, given what I had been told. He said "well he agreed to do it for 7k a year less than you."

7k extra for their end of season beano.

Crap refs sèmed to be fast tracked because they are politically adept. My only surprise is that some people believe a corrupt fa, pfa and football in general is a new thing, it has always been thus.

Phil Neville’s appointment put this into perspective. The FA are still very much a boffins in blazers organisation full of corrupt small time amateurs.

Indeed, they are, and wouldn't it be interesting to know whether their approach would be similar were it the season that Leicester went on to win, or the seasons we went on to win it?
