Not true, it was originally Woolwich Arsenal - near Charlton's ground. Still a Royal Artillery base
I think the football powers that are might have a wake up call very shortly. My missus said to me I'd be fucked without sports but these last few weeks have been a bit of an eye opener for meThe FA have no shame I just cant believe the season still hasn't been cancelled...more and more match going fans are feeling further detached from football than ever before
Is this due to covid or a more general comment on the state of the hammers?I’m bored so would welcome watching some footie.

I do miss it but not to the extent I thought I would. I'm getting on a bit now but played cricket to a half decent level and rugby in the winter and also a member of the local golf club so was expecting to be in a similar position to youI must admit I am the opposite. I am fucked without Sport, playing, watching and viewing .
I am miserable as hell, despite 10 mile walks, weights and pilates. Life without Sport is not for me.

Me and half a dozen mates all ex cricketers joined a local club near BathIt is the golf I miss most . Where do/did you play?
I think if something is just a habit, after a couple of months people stop missing it, and habits change. I know many people who stopped going to football for whatever reason and now say they don't miss it at all.
