Close season is where we will have a better chance.
Trouble is Jim...our close season could be devoid of a European place and find us struggling with confidence...Not the sort of scenario to tempt the sort of manager we would want.

I agree with you...however we are in a unique position where our owners are amazing wealthy and are willing to do whatever it takes to be a top flight team which is why this season is so important to progress by getting a uefa position next year at least so we can become attracive to the type of players the owners want to see. We dont have to give anybody time or backing , also isnt 100mill and well over half the season a fair crack?
Yes normally it would be seen as progression but we are not making 100mill bids for kaka to finish 9th

How's he wasted 100 million? I don't think he's spent that much and even if he has are the players he's brought in not better than the ones we had before? He will get us in the UEFA cup and he's got us to the last 32's of this years.

Come off it. You can't be serious surely? Serious question. What are you seeing that all us mongs are missing? We keep this average manager until the summer, and then our owners bring in their own man. Nothing against Hughes, he's just not up to it unfortunately. Onwards and upwards with Jose!
