Is left back really a problem?

Yes yes yes

Left-back has been a problem for years. Zinchenko (a midfielder) is our best LB at the moment and Delph (a midfielder) the best LB before him. Mendy looked very promising, and maybe if it wasn't for his 2 big injuries would have met his potential, but he's a bit of a liability now. Now, for the LB position, we have the choice from; a midfielder, a RB or a left-back that can't defend. Let's finally get a decent left-back, please!

How many Premier League or top Champions League sides have left backs from their academy in their first team squad, let alone starting 11?
Maybe not the best answer but, Kieran Tierney came through Celtic's academy and played Champions League football with them before we leaving for Arsenal.

Personally, I wish we had moved for him.

Not a problem if we did what we know makes sense and put Ederson there and get a GK who can make more actual saves.

(Only joking - sort of )

Midfield more of an issue imo as currently Gündoğan is practically first choice now Silva has left which doesn’t bode well.

Mendy will get another season and Cancelo is a decent back up along with Ake.
