Is left back really a problem?

Yes. But (if)Mendy (or Cancelo) can fill the gap for a season until we can get a better replacement then we can ride it out.

Still is, relying on Mendy to have a good season without a proper backup, we'll be adjusting our system and playing Aké as the left back. It's not good.

Moving Angeliño on for no reason when he's clearly a capable player.

Keep Cancelo and use Ake (although he isn't that good attacking wise) alongside Mendy for the season and then reassess.

Yes, it’s a huge problem.

Ive been supporting City since 1964 and I honestly struggle to remember the last time we had a decent left back. Im thinking Willie Donachie but surely there was someone else and Ive forgotten them.
I would suggest Glyn Pardoe (much better than Donachie) and for a limited period, Andy Hinchliffe. It has always been a problem position.
