Yes. But if Mendy (or Cancelo) can fill the gap for a season until we can get a better replacement then we can ride it out.

Trouble is there are not many about LB who can fit the bill. Pointless wasting money.

Still is, relying on Mendy to have a good season without a proper backup, we'll be adjusting our system and playing Aké as the left back. It's not good.

Yes, it’s a huge problem.
Ive been supporting City since 1964 and I honestly struggle to remember the last time we had a decent left back. Im thinking Willie Donachie but surely there was someone else and Ive forgotten them.

I would suggest Glyn Pardoe (much better than Donachie) and for a limited period, Andy Hinchliffe. It has always been a problem position.Yes, it’s a huge problem.
