Is left back really a problem?

I'm very happy with Cancelo, Walker and Zinchenko. I'm not happy with Mendy.

So if we can replace Mendy great but I think LB isn't as important to fix as our problems upfront.

Replacing Mahrez (and possibly Sterling) should be the priority imo.

I like Zinchenko but as an out and out left back he often gets exposed by the old one two. His limitations get exposed against good pacy wingers but its not his natural position so hey ho.. I'd like to see Ake there for a while. Zin is good backup.

Anyone, guys?

In the summer there were reports that Valencia was open to selling the entire squad apart from Gaya, and it seems he was happy there. If he actually wants to go, 15m is one hell of a bargain. Brilliant when I’ve watched him for Spain. The only worry is that he’s quite injury prone and lots of them are muscular

We are a bit stifled on one side, creating a bit of an uneven balance. This was the whole reason that we signed Mendy, to give the attacking impetus for that side. But he's never been available for any long period that we've had him, and now has dropped off completely. It's 100% an issue, but the problem has been that we have had other areas to prioritise and Cancelo was was like Danilo in that he could also cover left back. We still need the specialist, who can maintain a run of games and actually provide an overlapping threat, as well as inside control that we require.
