Is life better with or without kids?

I've always wanted kids but lately I really don't know if I have the patience to be a parent. I'm an introvert and need time to myself otherwise I go crazy and my sisters kids drive me up the wall and I can hardly stand half an hour in the same room with them as nasty as that sounds. I dunno maybe in a few years I will think differently and I would love to take them to their first City game and all that good stuff but right now I don't think it's likely.

Fact is mate none of us have much patience for other peoples kids, we love our own and tolerate the rest!

It's fantastic having kids most of the time and having the last 4 / 5 years in and out of work has given me a better opportunity than many dads t spend time with them.

Not having them was fun as well though.

The world's going to pot? Get a grip this is the safest it's ever been to raise a child. I have a 2 year old he is a pain in the arse but i love him to bit's. Could never be without him.

Arguably it is (there are still some deadly nutjobs out there mind), but that maybe feeds into my point? Part of my thinking is the increasing lack of freedom and control that individuals have to enjoy their life. People are getting evermore dictated to about what you can say or do and also, with the advances in technology, it won't be long before you can't have a s**t without authorities being aware, all in the interest of safety of course.

I'll answer this question in about a week or so lol

Haha well done Danny, it's going to be the hardest but best part of your life. Treasure the early years. Happy Christmas.

Cheers mate.
She's due 2nd January. So could be anytime now I suppose
Can't wait!

Iv got a mate that has three kids. I'm sure he's a great dad but you can see its really stressing him out having kids.

I personally couldn't think of anything worse than having kids right now. We live on a boat and love it. Having kids would just bollocks everything up. I personally think many wouldn't admit kids in their lives and makin things tough, if they were.

Me and the wife made the choice not to have kids but to look after animals instead and up to now after 22 years have no regrets at all.

each to their own mate. regrets can come from both sides. i suppose animals rarely let you down. believe me kids, even the best ones, sometimes do.

Animals never ask for anything but give you nothing but love, but I have met your Grandson and he is a really good kid so I understand where you are coming from.

Have a good boxing day as Christmas day has almost gone.

We have a couple of cats and love them so much . I don't care what people say, they show that love back . As regards to not asking for anything, they seem to show more affection when its time for tuna. Little buggers .

Ive had 2 dogs and 1 cat and Ive always wondered whether they really do love you or its the food you give them that they love, would they stick around if you didnt feed them?

(stands by to get abuse from dog/cat lovers)
