Is Manchester a tough place to live in?

It's bad enough being a prisoner on this island and having to deal with our government's bullshit when you're born and bred in Manchester. I wouldn't blame Bernie one bit for not wanting to spend the best years of his life here, sadly.

PS I love Manchester but do aspire to move somewhere sunnier one day when circumstances allow. It may be a bit more complicated now due to Brexiteers taking away my right to live and work in the EU but I'm working to get that back!

Is Madrid a desirable city to live in? If all these "desirable" places on the continent had Manchester weather would they be as "desirable" places to live in?

Manchester has great restaurants, great leisure facilities, good shopping areas, fantastic countrysides. What more does a footballer need?

In the winter it's either absolutely freezing cold or raining. And in the summer, so hot everyone with a bit of money abandons the City and fucks off to their holiday home on the south coast

He doesn’t need to live in the city, it’s just somewhere to work. He should move to Prestbury, Mottram, Alderley Edge area, it’s lovely round here. I don’t understand why he, or any player for us wouldn’t? Cities and towns are too busy and noisy, with too much risk of trouble if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It’s easy enough to drive somewhere if you want to sample a particular restaurant or theatre for example. I’m pretty sure any city in Europe would be similar, just live in the suburbs or surrounding countryside.

If it’s purely down to the weather, then in my opinion anything over about 25C is too hot anyway!

I'm completely opposite to you.
Pep can walk out to restaurants, bars etc. Go to shops, events.
Who the hell wants to drive miles back home to Mottram or Prestbury all the time.
