Is Manchester airport the worst in Europe?

They went for world domination and overdeveloped the huge logistics hubs. They seem to have forgot that it's an airport where people fly from as well as freight.

Flew into terminal one yesterday in and out pretty quickly. It’s badly in need of a renovation and not a good advert for Manchester for people visiting.

Compare and contrast to the newly opened Terminal A in Abu Dhabi. They’ve literally gone no expense spared from what I saw and probably trumps their cousins down the road at Dubai airport.

Seems an awful lot better, flew in/out in October and again mid December, only issue was a delay at passport control in October, massive (sorry) queue, other than that & I'm aware its out of season T1 October and T2 December were really smooth.

Flew out of Manchester a couple of weeks ago, and arrived back on Monday morning using T2.

Baggage drop was the slowest part as multiple TUI flights leaving at similar times, but relatively painless and security was done within 10 mins.

Coming back, leaving the plane to collecting baggage and walking out the terminal was about 20 mins.

Much better experience than T1 in February.

I always try to fly from Liverpool. It’s like a ghost town. Never been in 1 queue in all the times I’ve used it.

Been at the front of the queue for check in for 3 hours due to power issues, nobody tells us anything, queue now all the way round the carpark
Surely they should have some form of back up and seating available
