Is Manchester airport the worst in Europe?

Went through T1 this morning. 10 minute queue at EasyJet check in. Horrendous queue for security but had booked fast track so through in about 10 minutes. Departure lounge very quiet

Long queues also reported at Birmingham over last couple of days. It looks like many UK airports fail the piss up and breweries test.

Do the fast track tickets still work? Heard a few people say the fast track lines are shut all together, it looks like they have stopped selling tickets for them.

Id like to know the answer to this as we have fast track (bought ages ago) for our flights to Florida in a couple of weeks. I noted someone else say they are not doing them now… not sure if they meant the won’t accept them or they’re just not issuing anymore.

Has anyone on here been through the experience of having to change a passenger on the original booking?
I only ask because I had to do so on Monday. Whilst I can see confirmation that they are "dealing with the request" they also say it will be actioned "up to 24 hours before departure."
Our flight is on Friday at 10pm. I can deal with the added expenses, but the waiting is driving me mad :-(

This is a dodgy one, each airline has their own way of dealing with this scenario. The low costs tend to do it easily for the advertised fee whilst the more 'esteem' carriers are not as happy to do it albeit it'd a Service they advertise

Yes. We found out at the gate that the travel agent had assumed my wife's passport was in her married name.

Got through check in, security, right to the gate and they wouldn't let us board until we gave them cash to change the boarding pass to match.

Was the first time we'd been away with a child too, wife and daughter bawling their eyes out as we're told at first it was impossible for us to board the plane.

Still don't know what to make of it now, did we brive someone, were we extorted or is that just the process?
