The Keita story. Says we might bid £11m for him but also insists the transfer is unlikely as he is in Guardiola's plans and likes his life there.

Still with Barca needing money, the brass might be tempted to sell a 31-year-old for that much if there is any truth to our interest.

The same goes for Iniesta, would we really have just bought Agüero and Nasri for £60 million if there was a chance we could get Iniesta?

Iniesta is no better than what we have and considering what we would have to pay for him I really hope this isn't true.

We've got more than enough forwards (Silva is used as a trequartista now) a surfeit of central defenders and a satisfying amount of full backs. We haven't got enough midfielders for good contingency plans.

Yonks ago TH gave a figure of spend by City this summer of 105.8m, we have spent around about 75m therefore if he was right(not doubting him) means another 30m to spend. Bert still seems to want a CM player or wide player so out of the names we have been linked with here are a few that might fall into that category with their respective positions.

Javi Martinez - 23 year old DM player (This may take some doing)
Claudia Marchesa - CM player who can play either flank (ala Bale type player)(trouble is just signed new contract)
Lavezzi - Striker / RW - could replcae a wantaway Tevez (Looks Inter bound)
Cerci - RW (Already rejected us)
De Rossi - DM (Might not leave)

If it is a defender - Cahill or Coates (looks Liverpool bound)

Daniele's contract expires next year and he is in negotiations to extend it. He wants to remain and the club wants to keep him and I can only speak highly of him.
