Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

One dimensional i agree, but better that talking (or as you call it debating) complete bollox

Happy New Year to you 2

Give us your pearls of wisdom then mate and please don't just say i will leave it to Bob.

This is a football forum, as fans we have opinions, especially on how the game should be played.

My opinion is just that, mine and frankly worth fuck all in the grand scheme of things, i don't kid myself otherwise but unless you offer something a little more than, "you know fuck all" im going to have just assume your trolling, in the nicest possible way of course.

So, how do you think we should approach our game today and how can we improve on our form of late?

We are doing ok, perhaps move the ball a tad quicker, and stick the fucking thing in the back of the net. The basics are there. Injured full backs arnt helping.

But FFS every time we drop a point it's the same buffoons come on here slag everything about the club from manager players to tea lady. If every football game went to plan it would be as dull as fuck.

Very few of the knee jerker s on this forum ever give the opposition any credit it's just Mancini is clueless and the team is shite, pisses me right off

I'm not having a go at you personally.

I said earlier, sit off a little and make the opposition play, then when we win the ball back, hit that killer pass quicker, like we did so easily at the start of last season.

You said I knew nothing but it seems we pretty much agree with what we could do to put things right.

The opposition have now realised that 2 banks of 4, allowing us 70% possession will not hurt them as we are so narrow and as long as they keep discipline, we will really struggle. Credit to them for that but now we have to counter that tactic and quickly.

Good point. We haven't got used to the idea that all teams raise their game to play the Champions....some on here are only used to those days when it was us raising our game once or twice a season to play a 'big team'. WE are that big team now!!
We are indeed, but we're not coping like one often enough, ie we're not getting enough wins.

I apologise for saying you knew nothing was struggling with hangover, was just tired of the negativity on here last couple of weeks.

Didn't mean to single you out having a bad day mate.

Was watching the mackem spurs game, Sunderland go 1 nil up in pretty much a re run of our game

Now is definitely not the time to be considering changing managers; we are in 2nd place in the league and should be able to qualify for a place in the champs league for next season. However, now is the time for ownership to call in the manager to review the seasons performance so far, and to send a message that his tactics and selection need to change quickly, to ensure improved results in the second half of the season. I kept the faith thru years of ups and downs as we all waited over 40 years for something like those glory years to return, and meanwhile managers were hired and fired with monotonous regularity. I hope we don't become like Chelski or Spurs with impatient and unrealistic expectations changing managers every season.

When Roberto Mancini arrived mid-season to replace the sparkless one, I was one of those who said OK lets see what this guy can do, but I saw him only as another in a long line of short-term caretaker managers. So for me Mancini has been a mixed success. He tightened up the defence and stopped all those boring draws in his first season and he taught us to play like a SerieA team to be boring winners. The FA Cup season was great especially beating the reds at Wembley in the semi, and then Stoke in the final. The Championship season was even better as RM let the shackles off smashing 6 past the reds at OT on the way to that wonderful last day of last season coming from behind (just like at Newcastle in 68).

Joe Mercer was the most successful manager in City history. So up to 13 May 2012 I would have to say that RM was the most successful City manager since Joe Mercer. But in Europe not so good two years running, money and talent wasted, poor use of players & resources, and the owners faith in RM is the greatest opportunity in football wasted. I am not one of those who shouts for the managers head when we have a run of poor games and poor results. But whether he stays or goes at the end of the season is not as important as the fact we have now re-established our club at the top and broken the old monopoly.

RM will be remembered as a qualified success; the most successful City manager since Joe Mercer. successful to stick it to the reds a few times and bring down the banner at OT. successful domestically considerering all that money at his disposal. RM will also be remembered as the most disappointing manager in Europe considering all that wasteful extravagence on fees and payroll, wasting such a deep talented squad by such poor tactics and disappointing results. RM will also be remembered as a stubborn manager refusing to take advice from those around him, showing disrespect to some who deserve better and showing loyalty to some who consistently let us all sown and under-perform. Thats what happens when you surround yourself with coaches who are friends who tell you what you want to hear.

Hair of the dog fella and no worries.

A distinctly wild and haunted look in mancini's eyes in the post match interview. Thought he'd be happier to be honest.

First time ball, in behind defenders that find players in space and hey fucking presto......GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!

;-)

We are indeed, but we're not coping like one often enough, ie we're not getting enough wins.
You can't make that assessment until the season is over. That's the one and only time if you know if you've had enough wins or not.
