You heard Rooney a few years ago when he was at the swamp "the club lacks ambition". We've heard Messi more recently accuse Barcelona of the same shortcomings.
The project that these clowns mocked is the real deal. Shiehk Mansour wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to own the best football team on the planet.

This. The whole set up is geared for sustained long term success. We are way ahead of other clubs off the pitch. The whole club has been invested in. Not just the squad.
I think what has happened is other clubs, namely Liverpool, have got their act together so we’re not going to do a domestic clean sweep every year. I still see us as being one of, if not the most dominant club in English football for the coming years.
