Is Robinho still our best player?

In terms of graft, workrate no, in terms of skill, showmanship, putting bums on seat, expectation something might happen out of this world, showmanship - absolutely in fact I would say no one else like him in prem, a one off. Worth paying money just to see him perform whether scores goals or not.

No. Steven Ireland is our best player.
spot on,irelands are best and most important player, robi is a good player but he was poor in half of are games last season and will end up either being used as an impact player or be gone in 12 months, his form dipped at real,he showed glimpses last season but wasn`t convincing and he was poor in the con fed cup.

lol. You're a harsh judge, who are you comparing him to?

He had no pre-season with the club, strolled in and became top scorer (4th in the league) and chipped in with a fair few assists. I'd say he was very convincing and looked the real deal as a player. If all you saw was glimpses then maybe you're blinking too often?

i think i will wait till the end of the season before i judge on who is our best player!

After seeing robbie play i would say he was our most talented player. i dnt know if any1 else has noticed but the way he beats the first man, he makes it look so easy. just look agaist wolves next wknd, when he cuts inside, he may aswel walk past them. he then sadly tries 1 to many n loses the ball at times but i think he will be a very important player for us this season, his goal contributions and assists. i personally dont care if he doesnt track back all the time, we have other people in the squad for that.
Its like sayin toure or dunne dont contribute upfront. its not there job to do that. robbie attacks n others defend.

I'm not sure this question can make any sense.

He's good where he plays, but I still think Shay is a better goalkeeper than he would be ;-)

Less pedantic is that he attracts defenders to him, so free's up other forwards and attacking midfielders to have potshot at goal.

I also feel players like Stevie Ireland gain a lot from playing with Robbie, and who wouldn't start feeling more confident.

So best? Not sure, influential? I think so from a team point of view.

Tevez is, by far, the best football player we have. It's not about what you can do that makes you great, it's about what you can't do, and Tevez could play at CB and still put in a decent performance. Barry is next, then Ireland, SWP, Zab and Adebayor.

Tevez is twice the player of Messi or Ronaldo, who are essentially trick ponies and goal machines mixed in to one. Put Messi at CB and see how well he does. Or Ronaldo at LB.

The best football player in the world, in my eyes and using my system as quoted above, is Rooney. I'm not sure about ever, I'll have to think about it a bit. Mattheus will be up there.

without doubt he is the best player we have! he;s the only player we have who if he was put in a world XI, nobody around the world would complain (only player esablished as quality world wide)

RIIIIIIIGHT, so popularity is the same as talent.

Sorry, I'll let Jeff Buckley know that he's a far worse musician than Britney Spears.

im sorry pal but thats one of the most ridiculous points ive heard in my life! so because messi is only a forward and not a centre back (?) means he cant be the best in the world, thats not what hes there for!
