The quadratic formula is a really simple derivation.
You just start with the standard formula ax^2 + bx + c = 0
Then you just use the method of completing the square. It's really that easy. I'd do it step by step, but I have a Linear Algebra exam tomorrow so I can't really be bothered with making work for myself.

Cheers mate, I'm not a huge fan of it either but I guess it's all fundamental so there's no avoiding it really. Matrices and inner products aren't all that bad.

Never heard an MP say that? And who are you calling uneducated? Are you saying that you would have to be uneducated to beleive in an afterlife or have any type of spirituality. I don't consider myself uneducated and I beleive in an after life
