Is the Family Stand fit for Purpose?

I'm bringing four guys who normally wouldn't go to the game. I got a bit giddy with the £20 tickets but thought this was a good opportunity to help ensure the game was sold out.

Any actual attendance of over 50k is a good gay IMHO.

What is a good gay?

the family stand is where city allocate the free tickets to schools, other clubs etc etc, i know a youth team here in chester were given 30 tickets for the swansea game, 16 went, thats just one example, i know also of a youth team from ireland which were given 25 tickets for the liverpool, they didnt turn up due to travel problems

Just curious, but do you sit in that stand?
No mate I used to have season tickets to the Family Stand at Maine Road .it was a lot smaller but always full and with a bit of atmosphere ,that is why I posed the question ,just seems a shame that when City are attacking that end the players will see so many empty seats. I am not sure what the solution is or even if there is one ,but it is interesting finding out other peoples views

Where in the ground do you sit?

Extend the North Stand.

Leave 8000 tickets for this stand for match day sales only.

Every game kids under 16 £1 with a paying adult.

Open up two blocks for teenagers in the new third tier ( North ) to go on their own with their mates. Ages 13 to 16 for these blocks. Make it season cards for them at £2 a game, so £36 gets a 13-16 a season card. Get the groups of mates going from school again. This scheme makes it easy to convert Rag mates at school. I converted loads back in the day and we were shit then. Expand these blocks as demand grows and eventually have a North third tier full of noisy teenage lads but have it well policed with stewards for obvious reasons.

Be the first club to bring back that culture of "going with your mates".

We have so many opportunities over the Rags to grab the next generations, whilst at Old Scaffold the place is full of coffin dodgers and tourists. Let's grab the next young Mancs and keep driving the nails into that shithouse of a club.

I think you've made some good points and at least it's a bit more original.
The season tickets would have to in unreserved seating if kids are going to bring their mates along so they can sit with them.

Kicking all of those fans out of that stand (some have never returned) and making it what it has become is the worst thing the club has done since the takeover.

A very poor decision all round.

At other grounds the Family Stand is as small as a couple of blocks. Not a whole 5800 stand!

There is absolutely no need at all for the Family Stand, even at a 54000 Etihad, to be any bigger than just Level 2 at that end of the ground.
