Is the football bubble finally about to burst?

Christ. I miss football tremendously. Honestly astounded by the amount of people that seemingly don’t give a fuck about it and aren’t particularly arsed about ever watching City again.

I think people are fed up of the bullshit. They're sick of the footballing mafia controlled governing bodies, the betting vultures and the now inability to tell what's match fixed and what isn't, the blatant use of VAR and biased officials to ensure certain teams are successful and the blatant bought media propaganda spreading their bile.

They don't want that "football" back. They want an honest game run by neutrals where the facts are reported, achievements are praised whatever the club, financial models are based on stability and investment and the focus is on new opportunity and honest competition instead of a few cartel clubs. They want:

-FFP gone.
-UEFA, FA and PL completely reformed with neutral elected representatives providing oversight and governance.
-A transparent and open VAR and referee appointment and performance review process.
-Liverpool punished for hacking and the coach attack.
-A full match-fixing, cartel, betting and blood doping investigation into historic and current success by certain clubs and those guilty relegated and disbanded.
-Liverpool to be introduced in every news bulletin as "The Heysel murdering coach attacking hackers" and not awarded a title they've cheated to steal.

Then the football we love can come back. Until then, people don't want the farcical circus back.

If we all get through this safely and football resumes I’ll GIVE you a ticket to see the mighty blues sad story that m8

I’m massively touched by that - thank you. I’ve re-read my post and didn’t want it to sound like “woe is me” ;we all have our problems and compared to some I’m very lucky. To see the blues in the flesh one day would be a dream, but I do hope that when this is all over there may be a bit more understanding from Sky, BT, the Premier League etc about how they are killing it for many.
Until then, Stay Safe all.

Yes mate, have a place in Andulucia, 20 years. Love Seville, and Granada and Cordoba.
I didn't go to the Seville game but warned my brother where not to go.I had feeling there would be a bit of trouble. Some poor immigrant areas in both Seville and Granada
The Spanish do have a drinking culture. Slightly different is the fact that they don't get arseholed before a football match. But believe me they like a drink just as much as we do.
I only replied, as a little joke in troubled times, and you did begin your post, ""I only did ", And I miscomprehended.
Myself , when watching City away, I usually do quite a bit of homework, to locate places of interest to eat and drink.
Seville has some brilliant tapas bars, granted not for large groups of football fans, but I don't like Herds (Not a pop at your farming background).
To me Irish bars in Continental europe are not attractive. In fact Spain as a whole has had a surge in real ale popularity, and micro breweries. Hasta luego amigo. )

I had a belated birthday in Malaga last year and literally every pub was populated by expats and tourists. I had a safety in numbers idea in Seville mixed in with being somewhere that wasn’t surrounded with food. Whilst the attack wasn’t severe, it still ruined my trip.

I’ve been all around Europe and I’d say the comparable drinking cultures to the UK are Germany, Scandinavia and some parts of Eastern Europe. Azerbaijan and Georgia were more Eurasia so only the places expecting us were accommodating. It was otherwise feeling like we didn’t belong there.

Everywhere in Spain save Tenerife style places have been more food based.

I understand your perspective. My Spain does not include the Costas or Benidorm etc.
If visitors to Britain only went to Skegness or Blackpool, you can imagine what they would think.
The regions of Spain are so different they could be separate countries and they have a commonality of welcoming us ,I suppose because we now speak Spanish decently it helps our experience.
Back to drinking before European ties, I am reminded of Lokeren. We stayed like many in Brussells, Went with a group from Failsworth. Everyone met in a large bar on the edge of the main square. Too many young drunken kids for me, I went outside and noticed a large group milling quite near. I went back in the pub, rounded my brother up, and got well out of it. The next day our hotel was full of the wounded as they were ambushed coming out later in the evening. I heard they were Turkish, couldn't verify that though.
I did tell a few of the lads we were with to come with us but of course they were too pissed and decided to stay. Most of them were not in a state to defend themselves against a sober foe. And had been acting like totall nobs in the pub anyway.
My idea of watching City play abroad is to get a feel for the place we are playing, meet locals where possible and sample the local food and drink. You are probably much the same apart from the Irish bar mistake.

I don't think it will, mate, there are too many external, vested and commercial interests at stake for the current farce to change anytime soon. Imagine pigs rooting round in their own shit or competing in a feeding frenzy at a trough. Unfortunately that's my impression of football these days. Our beloved game that we've grown up with has had it's moments but has been slowly dying since Sky Television introduced their brand of corporate greed into it in 1992.

Yep, got it in one. Sheer corporate greed has destroyed our national sport. And the farcical misuse of VAR has proven just how corrupt and rotten the game has become. I mean, how the fuck was Sepp Blatter allowed to get away with what he did? Obviously, brown envelopes were involved.

One thing is for certain, the governing bodies of the sport should be forced to answer some very difficult questions.

A few of them should be jailed for overseeing the level of corruption that is happening in front of our eyes (allegedly!)

Everything appears to be coming to a head regarding City..!

We are extremely confident that we are innocent..

Our Chairman has said previously that 'we know everything that is being said within the game ..'

We have kept our powder dry for long enough now..

Could this be the opportunity for us to expose certain people, clubs, organisations and the media?

I sincerely hope it is and I hope many are nervously looking over their shoulders..!

Blow everything wide open and start afresh with a measurable level of transparency..

Do it City..!

yep. corporate greed and money has ruined it for me. i include city and every other prem team in that. I'm not really bothered about var as that can be changed. i feel so far removed from the club, the players and football in general. i sit opposite the tunnel club and despise it.

wont get many agreeing with me, but id have a wage cap so everyone had a chance and football was more fair and wasnt all about money. id also get fans back on club boards with actual say in the club. just two things that i think would improve football

I wish we would Bill, I really do. But I'm afraid it won't happen, we're to soft and haven't got the bottle
