Is the Manchester Derby the biggest derby in England?

For Mancs , then it will be , but seriously .....

I don't think it's any bigger than the Merseyside derby , as in that one , both sides are traditionally top flight sides with chances of winning something , as opposed to having just a big club v small club match ........ ahem :o) lmao

Seriously though , I still think the Merseyside one is the biggest in the prem , with only Utd V LFC comparing .

Should City go on to have honours , then that will be a great tie .
It would be pretty good if the top 4 were at each end of the m62 :o)

Good luck tomorrow .
Are you mike parry ? you talk absolute garbage

At least I know where the Caps Lock is though :P

i reckon it is one of the biggest in the country. As for the merseyside derby that is nothing in comparison, i mean we'd never be able to sit at the swamp or the rags at COMS wearing our colours, yet they sit at Goodison and Anfield side by side without battering an eyelid, not really an intense rivalry is it?

Everton are a great team to follow lol . And no , I'm not clever ; just witty , charming , sexy and talk garbage apparantly . :P

To be fair,I think that everyone's local derby is the "biggest" to them.Merseyside,Birmingham etc-they've all got a shout.

But in my experience the vast majority of neutrals would like us to stuff the rags every time we play them. Our is seen as the classic "good v evil" due to the majority of the footballing public historically detesting the rags and wanting them to be "brought down a peg."

They know it really hurts them when we win,as much as they deny it.

It's like the school bully getting a slap in front of the whole school.

Not like it used to be . A bit nasty now .

Besides , are we talking about the biggest derbies or the most spiteful ones ?

I'm not suggesting this is by any means the biggest derby, but Portsmouth v Southampton is supposed to be a very bitter rivaly.

It goes back decades to when scabs from Southampton were used to break a dockworkers strike in Portsmouth (actually it could be the other way round). There's also the fact that Portmouth is a Royal Navy town where as Southampton is a Merchant Navy town.
