Is 'The Wire' the greatest ever tv show?

I think what made it so great is the reality of it. By that, I mean the scenes on the streets of Baltimore is how it is.

I'm a huge fan of The Soprano's, superb tv but The Wire wins the crown of best tv series for me, I didn't struggle with the ebonic slang and felt it added strength to the show. Never had subs on.

Boardwalk empire has a lot of potential, needs more seasons before I will put it up there.
